The problem
Many new heat pumps in Germany, Austria and the UK are handed over with default or wrong settings (heating curve too high, backup heater on, oversized unit short-cycling). Owners see power bills far above what they were promised, installers rarely come back to fine-tune, and the fix today is either hours in forums or a one-off expert report.

Octopus default settings are fan coil and dT of 5, which was an unstable power-hungry mess for me as it got colder.
Allerdings die WP ist überdimensioniert und sie war absolut falsch eingestellt gewesen (bspw. VT 58 Grad und zusätzlich die Anhebung um 2 Punkt etc.).
