The problem
A medic or EMT working 24s/48s/96s gets paid from a payroll system that often miscalculates overtime and differentials. Paychecks can miss $200-$800 per pay period for individuals, turning into $5,000-$12,000 a year for the person who never audits their checks. Existing payroll and time systems are built for standard schedules and either drop stacked differentials or calculate OT on base pay only, so they don't surface these errors for EMS shifts.
