The problem
Estheticians and small clinic owners lose bookings and sales because strangers and potential clients accuse their before-and-after photos of being edited or AI-made, and that doubt can kill a $150–$400 treatment sale on the spot (reported in industry threads and news). Clinics face repeated public calls-out, lawsuits, and fines when images are misleading (multiple press stories and FTC focus on fake reviews and deceptive endorsements). Normal phones and Canva don’t prove when or how a photo was taken, so an esthetician can’t quickly show a customer a locked record proving the image is original. This got urgent after 2023–2024 rule updates and enforcement from the FTC and a wave of viral “too good to be true” image exposes in the press, which made proof a business and compliance need now (FTC Endorsement Guides 2023 and FTC actions in 2024).
